I know…boooooring! But don’t underestimate this because it is the ONE THING that works.
You can take a calorie deficit and work out to see results…IF you do those things for longer than a day. You also need to do them for longer than a week. Take measurements and scale weight and you will slowly see progress each week that you stick to your plan. To see BIG results you are looking for, like that hardbody hottie on the beach, it is going to take CONSISTENCY.
You can make tweaks along the way to your plan like adding protein, changing your workouts, cycling your calories…but in the end it will be CONSISTENCY that gets you where you want to go.
This works for you and against you. FOR you in the way that you know if you stick to something you will eventually make it! So have faith…like Martin Luther King Jr. said: “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase”… It can work against you in that we get so impatient that we actually start considering those crazy whacked-out plans or pills people are trying to push on us. This only leads to yo-yo dieting and that is exhausting, physically and mentally.
So make a plan or seek a coach who can make one for you. Moderate calorie deficit and consistent effort are what is going to get you where you want to go..NOT a magic pill or crazy food plan.
